| CLASSES FOR ADULTS and very mature kids |
| Introduction to Russian Language and Culture (A) |
This four-week class designed for people who are going to Russia on tourist or business purpose. You will learn the alphabet, reading strategies and simple conversation technique. The most important history events, climate and cultural differences will be discussed. |
| Russian Language and Grammar (A) |
The program is designed for our non-Russian speaking friends who want to continue to learn Russian. We pay a lot of attention to pronunciation and reading. We study grammar and cursive writing. There will be a few hours of homework every week, journal writing and spelling tests. |
| "Friends" |
Our older friends will meet for a cup of tea, to discuss world news, new books, exchange information and have fun. |
| "Never too late" |
Free English tutoring will be provided to help those adults and seniors who don't speak English (by appointment only). |
| CLASSES FOR CHILDREN and adults who want to be kids again |
| Russian Language and Grammar |
We pay huge attention to this class. Our goal is to teach how to read and write in Russian. We teach correct pronunciation and sentence building. Kids will learn to tell and write short stories. At least one hour of homework every week should be expected. |
| Literature |
Depending on the class level we will introduce to children famous Russian poets and writers, and learn their work. Kids will listen Russian folk stories and talk about development of Russian literature. |
| History and Culture |
In this class children will learn the most important pages of the World and Russian history since ancient times to our days. We will talk about famous historical places. |
| Simple Science and Math |
In this class children will learn new vocabulary and receive basic knowledge about geography, biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics. Tutoring on regular school projects will be available. |
| Music |
Our music lessons will be designed depending on your needs. Children may learn how to play piano or receive information about Russian composers; listen famous songs and learn folk music. |
| Russian Art |
Children will learn color and drawing skills. Also we take some time to teach children history of Russian art. We will talk about Russian artists and their work. (Some extra drawing material will be required for this class.) |
| "Little Bee" |
This class will teach our youngsters age 3-5 to talk clearly and better understand Russian. We will be very busy listening fairy tales in Russian, playing games, singing and drawing. |
| "Sunny Circle" |
A special playgroup designed for families with children adopted from former Soviet Union and all their friends. Kids will get chance to play with Russian speaking children and learn their own heritage. Parents will get information and support from Russian Community. |
